Sundays

Bishop Luffa School

10:30am start,
with refreshments from 10am

Although our Sunday gatherings kick–off at 10:30am, we recommend arriving at 10am in order to enjoy some delicious refreshments and to take the opportunity to chat and get to know others over a cuppa. If you have children with you, then you can also use this time before the gathering to register your children and sign them into their respective group/s.

Our lovely Welcome Team are always on hand to show the way and would love to meet you and help you feel settled. At Immanuel, we usually celebrate Holy Communion together on the second Sunday of each month.

Kids & Youth

Apart from the occasional Sunday, we have a full programme of activities and groups for our children and young people to enjoy throughout the year during our Sunday gatherings.

For preschool–aged children, we have a crèche area / play space where parents can sit with their children and still be part of the main meeting. To find out more about our kids and youth work, please click the link below.

Join a team

Our Sunday gatherings would simply not be possible without the hard work of all of our amazing volunteers!

At Immanuel, there are plenty of opportunities to serve as well as a wide range of teams that you can join, including our set–up team, kids and youth team, worship team, and much more besides!

Rather than viewing people as “rota solutions,” we believe that every individual has been gifted by God with particular talents and interests, and we would love to work with you in discerning which team or teams God might be calling you to serve on.

Those who volunteer with us regularly reflect that the work they do is not only a meaningful way to serve, it’s also a fantastic opportunity to make new friends, build relationships, and become even more integrated within the community at Immanuel.

FAQs

What happens during Sunday services?

Our gatherings include sung worship, updates about upcoming events, readings from the Bible, a relevant talk, and the opportunity to receive prayer. If you’re new to Immanuel, please feel free to come along and to get involved at your own pace. We are a relaxed and informal come–as–you–are environment with no specific dress code.

Where do I park?

There’s plenty of parking available in the school car park at Bishop Luffa, and one of our friendly parking attendants will be there to greet and welcome you as you arrive. Once you have parked, look out for our noticeboards and banners as these will point you in the right direction and help you to find your way.

What about accessibility?

We are equipped to welcome anyone with specific accessibility requirements, and we will do whatever we can to make it easier for you to visit. If you have any questions or would like to make arrangements before visiting, please contact us. Bishop Luffa enjoys step-free access into the Bartlett Hall (where we meet on Sundays).
